  • What aspects of my life will be affected?

  • Is this the right time in my life to do the surgery?

  • Have I been open and clear about everything with my doctor?

Questions to ask the surgeon

P.S. It’s a good idea to take notes when asking!

  • How many times have you done this procedure?

  • Who else will be involved in this process?

  • What results can I expect and when?

  • Will I need to do a physical before we start the surgery?

  • Are there risks unique to my situation?

Questions to ask about the procedure

  • What are the complications associated with this procedure?

  • Is this the right option for me?

  • How long is recovery?

  • Will there be pain afterwards?

  • Will I have any scars?

  • When will I see the results and how long will they last?

  • How much will everything cost?

What to Expect

Before the Procedure

  1. Pre-Operative Consultation

    • You will have a complimentary consultation before your surgery. It could be weeks, months, or days before the surgery, depending on which procedure you have chosen. During your complimentary consultation, you will speak to the doctor about almost everything regarding the procedure.

  2. Consent form

    • Later, when you're coming in for the surgery, you will sign the consent forms and might be photographed if you consent. These photographs will be used as a reference for the surgeon.

  3. Estimate of costs

    • You will get a printout of the costs. Cosmetic procedures are usually not covered by insurance but we do have great financing options!

During the Procedure

  1. If your selected procedure requires general anesthesia or IV (intravenous) sedation, then it will be performed by the anesthesiologist.

  2. Others procedures, such as injectables, fillers, and some cases of blepharoplasty may be performed under local anesthesia.

After the procedure

Prior to outpatient surgery or before discharge from the hospital, you will receive:

  • Instructions for post-surgical care specific to your procedure

  • Medication instructions and prescriptions (for example: pain medications and antibiotics)

  • Phone numbers to call for questions

For most procedures, we will require you to be driven home by friend or family member.

Don't expect to see the final results right away. After the surgery, you may feel "down" for a while, but don't worry, you'll be back to normal soon. To prevent this, don't prematurely judge the results of the surgery. Give it some time. The bruising or swelling may take at least 3 weeks to subside. So just relax take it easy and get ready for the Brand New You.
